MEMS Names Aaron Gilkey as Media and Relations Coordinator
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (March 30, 2022) – Metropolitan Emergency Medical Services (MEMS) has hired Aaron Gilkey as media and relations coordinator.
Most recently serving as a 911 dispatcher in Pope County, Gilkey brings nearly nine years of communications and emergency operations experience to MEMS. Having received his undergraduate degree in graphic design from Arkansas Tech University in Russellville, Aaron started his career with the university and went on to achieve a master’s degree in higher education.
“We are thrilled to announce Aaron Gilkey as our first media and relations coordinator,” said Greg Thompson, executive director of MEMS. “He brings with him a wealth of experience, enthusiasm, and talent to this position. We look forward to working together to support our employees and the citizens and communities we serve.”
Gilkey’s primary responsibilities will include leading the organization’s external communication strategy to better inform the public of MEMS mission and assist in the recruitment of new employees. Additionally, he will serve as the point person for transforming the internal communications strategy to improve operations and employee success.
