Rookie 43 Starts With 17 Students
The 43rd MEMS Rookie School started class today with 17 students. There are ten new hires, four MEMS Emergency Vehicle Operators, and three North Little Rock Firefighters enrolled.
These individuals will undergo the stringent training and instruction needed to pass their National Registry (NREMT) exam and skills check-off. Arkansas requires both to obtain a state EMT license.
The three North Little Rock Fire Department members have joined the MEMS Rookie School to earn their EMT and will return to work after graduation. North Little Rock has one of the many fire departments in our service area that respond to medical calls with our crews.
Welcome to MEMS, Rookie 43!
