MEMS crews are standing by — Call 911 in an emergency.
This morning, we started the process of returning to normal operations. For the past few days, MEMS has been operating under winter weather protocols, also known as Purple Status. Although conditions were more favorable than forecasted, crew members, dispatchers, supply techs, maintenance, custodial, and office personnel worked day and night; Many set up camp inside Station 1 to ensure the day-to-day operations continued and crews were well fed during the unpredictable weather.
Thank you to all our dedicated team members who have worked tirelessly, giving up time with family and more this week during Purple Status.
